What’s up guys! First of all, thank you so much for your amazing response to the previous article’s laptop buying guide. Now in today’s article, I would like to give you a list of the top 5 programming languages of 2019. These have been ranked on the following criteria:

  • Salary to expect

So, let’s not waste time and jump to the list

5) C# or C sharp

C# is Microsoft’s language used to develop .net frameworks. It is a pretty powerful language used for different tasks like designing Web forms, Web applications, Windows applications, Console applications, and using Unity 3D engine you can also develop games. Now coming o ease of learning, it takes around 3-4 months to get a grip of basics and around 2 years to become a competent developer. If you are familiar with any other language, then it would be easy to grab the concepts of C#. Now as a .net developer you can apply in companies like Microsoft and also service-based companies like TCS, Infosys, CTS as they use C# as a part of their enterprise solution for their clients. The average salary expected is 5-7 lakhs per annum.

4) Swift

It is the language used to develop apps for macOS, iOS, WatchOS. It is gaining quite popular as it is easier to read, maintain. It is quite faster, safer, and requires fewer lines of code. It was designed to reduce the gap between the human mind and computer operations which is why syntax-wise, swift is pretty easy, and usually, in 3-4 months, you can start with developing apps. Currently, it is in high demand and the average salary expected is between 4-10 lakhs per annum.

3) JAVA

The most common programming language in the world with well-paying jobs and great community support. It is used in almost all things like Games, Android Apps, Web Apps, IoT, cloud development, etc. If you are absolutely new to programming then it would take you around 3-6 months to learn the basics of Java. Expected salary depends on your experience, the company whether it is product or service-based and you except between 5-12 lakhs per annum.

2) PYTHON

The most searched language in India on Google in 2018 has been in the industry for not more than 25 years but has gained quite a lot of popularity. Even though it is a scripting language but now it is a general-purpose programming language which means that can be used for anything from web development, game development, computer vision face recognition, and color detection. Netflix recommending you stuff to watch that’s Python recommending. It is also heavy on data science and machine learning. It is used by Google, YouTube, and even the New York stock exchange. Coming to ease of learning Python language in terms of Syntax and basics is it easy to go. There again using python to design algorithms that solve Complex problems depends on your experience. The starting salary of a Python developer is around 3 lakhs and goes up to 14 lacs per annum depending on how good you are.

1) JS (Java Script)

Firstly, JavaScript and Java are poles apart. JavaScript was invented to make web pages come alive still having a web page that just sits there and has nothing to do. Java Script webpage can now react to you like the action of questions to visitors, change the content of the existing HTML page, how many things done on Mouse click, and so on. Google suggests system within few characters that you type in the search box is JavaScript. Now JavaScript Runtime environment allows you to build a server using JavaScript which is an MVC framework developed by Google that extends HTML with new attributes. If you are a front-end developer with just JavaScript and then you will on between 3 to 6 lacs per annum but if are in JavaScript developer with the skills of Angular and react, then you can earn somewhere between 6 to 15 lakh per annum.
